Emphasis- The
minaret is what immediately draws your attention due to its size and shine,
while the palm trees are complimentary.
Harmony- The
plants in front of the ACE center are identical in color and size, and planted
such they are aligned and equally spaced.

Variety- Contrasting
colors and types of cars cause the viewer to analyze each vehicle in its own
element.
Color- On the building there are two different tones of brown. One is a light beige and the other is a tan color. Neither are a primary or secondary colors. They are warm tones that compliment the warm weather of Tampa. A blue building or a cooler tone building may not fit in well on campus because most of the buildings here are these warm shades of brown.
Texture- The pillar outside of the Cass Building had an interesting texture. It is cement like material but it is not smooth and flat like a freshly paved road. It is bumpy and not soft to run your hands against.
Space- Plant hall represents space because the building itself is a work of art. Between the minarets and the unique architecture makes it stands out on campus. Plant hall alone makes this space feel elegant and old fashioned. When you add in the palm trees surrounding it you are reminded that you’re in a warm tropical part of the country. This space feels extravagant and unique, like you may not find a building like this on most campuses.
Value - The two rows of palm trees in Plant Park has a significant importance. The rows provide a sense of uniformity and security for those who walk between them.
Rhythm - The windows of plant hall provide an apparent pattern for the viewers eyes to follow. The repeating window arches are identical in color and shape. The windows are in a grid which allows for identical levels.
Form - The shape of the minaret is a very distinct one. The silver color and the lines that run up the body of the minaret help form a unique personality for the building. The minaret has a strong, wide base and gets small and narrow at the top.

1. Effective use of light to create distinct blurs/focusses
2. Different images are pieced together to continue the image's theme (train)
3. Unsure on the intent of videos, the red line does not make sense to me
4. I enjoyed the penguins on the rock face and how they are all looking up
5. I enjoyed the varying coloration you achieved when working with metals
Questions
1. Why the red on the armadillo piece? Where did the infatuation for the armadillo stem from?
2. What were you trying to convey with the feet and thumbs?
3. What is your favorite material to work with? Why?
4. In the piece "Tapping", is that a bullet hole?
5. When working with metal, what is your technique/means of shaping?

Line- On the old School house the
shingling created horizontal lines. The lines were parallel continuing
throughout the entire outside of the schoolhouse.

Shape- The chapel on campus represents shape because enclosed in the chapel itself are other elements of art. For example the different size pieces of square glass that make up the front window of the chapel. Also the unique architecture of the building is art. All of these elements together make up one large triangle.
Proportion - The Tampa skyline appears to be a similar size to the tree. The scale of the city looks small because it is much farther away than the tree.
Unity - The pillars in the front of Sykes Business School are from floor to ceiling. The pillars create a sense of wholeness in the structure. Without the pillars, the building would appear empty and week. The pillars create a sense of strength, as well as balance the grande design.

Perpective Project
This is the point of view of a football player. He is going in for the tackle and is focused on number 18 in the black. The photo has added focus due to the "tint" that was applied to the center that guides the viewers eye to the main focus which is number 18. We feel that this emulates real life, when your adrenaline is pumping you tend to get tunnel vision and focus on the task or target at hand.

Transitive Number Project
Final
Synopsis:
Our project took
the form of a rap music video featuring a man who lost his girlfriend. He is
reminded of her when he sees a sandwich that looked like the ones she used for
make him. While the sandwich symbolizes love, it also brings forth feelings of
hate and anguish, which are expressed throughout the man’s music video rant.
Notice What You
Notice- Within the video is embedded a variety of whimsical creatures. During
several of the scenes, all of the elements of a typical rap video will be
featured, but in the background there is often something out of place. This
includes: a guy with bunny ears, two dancers dressed in imaginary costumes, and
several unusual features within his flashback memories.
Catalogue:
Art of Seeing –
these elements are found throughout the video and are in the form of typical
things one would see in a rap music video, such as a “hype man”, women dancing
inappropriately, improperly worn clothing, as well as certain locational
filming paralleling that of rap music videos.
Point of View-
the point of view facet was emphasized through the means of filming and
editing. There are no lyrics to the song, or words spoken in the video, and the
film is in black and white. This was done in order to try and mimic old silent
films, but still having a modern twist.
Metaphor- the
metaphor within the video is the music society’s change in taste and how music
today has become about objectifying women, and forming lyrics that most of the
time don’t even make sense. By having an instrumental playing, but no lyrics
heard despite the man’s lips moving, as well as women dancing on tables, we
communicated that most music today, specifically rap, has just become nonsense.
Further, there is also a metaphorical relationship between the music video and
the rapper’s lost relationship. He uses the video to convey his painful
recollections of the girl he used to love, and at the end it catches up with
him when she reappears and crushes his heart once again.
Double-Entendre-
The peanut butter and jelly sandwich itself serves as a double entendre. It is
a physical sandwich that he carries through the video, but the same time it is
also a physical embodiment of his relationship. When it is stepped on at the
end of the video, the sandwich is physically destroyed, and the relationship is
also symbolically demolished.
Life and Death-
The life and death within the film begin with the sandwich being made, which as
mentioned symbolizes the past relationship. The man carries the sandwich
throughout the entire film as he reminisces about his lost love and of all the
great times they had together. But at the end it is snatched from him and
destroyed, which symbolizes the ultimate end, or death, of their relationship
and the time for him to move onwards.
Multiple Frames-
the multiple frames, while not pictures, are the events occurring throughout
the video. We are telling a story by having the man notice something that
reminds him of past memories and love, then having him rant about it and how
much he misses the good and bad, and finally we take that from him to symbolize
the time for him to let go and move on.
Framing the
Image- the sandwich is present throughout the entire video and is carried by
the man who sees it as a reminded of the past.
The video begins with the sandwich being made, and ends with it being
destroyed.
Symbol- the
sandwich represents love and past memories.
Sound/Audio- the
project was done via a video camera and then edited with sound, placing music allows
the video to flow like a typical rap video, except he conveys his feelings
through physical expressions instead of words.

All group members contributed to the completion of our project in some way or another. A+ to all.
Process
First we came up
with an idea of making a music video. We decided to make the music video
about a guy seeing something that reminds him of his ex-girlfriend. Then
we decided on how to implement the themes into our music video. Once we
figured that out, we then filmed a scene in stadium and decided to think of
other areas to film. We decided to come back the next week with weird
props and film again on campus. Next we filmed by the pool, the river,
and other locations on campus. Then we had to edit the video and add some
music for the background. Once we were able to edit the video properly,
we viewed it one last time and decided it was finish.
